The photographs required considerable retouching to recreate the as-new appearance of the shavers.

This Braun 5550 is the most beautiful shaver I came across; not designed by Dieter Raims himself, but by the team which fostered him, and he later became the architect of. The Braun 5550 has clean lines, solid construction, and despite it’s appearance a comfortable feel in the hand. This, combined with the use of metal in the body manufacturer is unfortunately a world away from the ergonomic plastic bodies of the early twenty-first century.
